Major Asshole was a Spaceball officer aboard Spaceball I. Like his cousin, Phillip, he was cross-eyed.
Major Asshole recruited Phillip as a gunner, leading to Princess Vespa's Mercedes being shot at instead of being given a warning shot. When Dark Helmet asked who made Phillip a gunner, the Major answered, "I did, sir. He's my cousin." When Colonel Sandurz explained that the two were Assholes, Helmet asked how many Assholes were in the ship, to which most of the crew raised their hands.[1]
