Melvin James Kaminsky (born on June 28th, 1926), better known as "Mel Brooks," is an American director, screenwriter, composer, lyricist, comedian, actor, and producer, best known for making comedic parody films.

He directed Spaceballs, and portrayed Yogurt and President Skroob in the film.

Spaceball I stocks videocassettes of nine Brooks-related movies in its Mr. Rental unit:

  • The Producers (Written and directed by Brooks, featuring him in a cameo as the voice of a Nazi)
